Inventor's Spotlight

Meet the Inventor: Lydia Guerrero

A CD Over a Keyboard

From Corpus Christi, Texas, Lydia is a foster mother of teenage boys who is accustomed to driving while enjoying her favorite music. Being limited with her single CD changer, she found herself switching CDs out often. One day, like many of other drivers, she had a frightening experience of bending down to pick up a fallen disc and nearly got into an accident. Having been in the "sandwich" generation where computers weren't as significant as they are today, Lydia, as many of her friends and family did not have the exposure to computing so downloading her music would be an giant task.

That's when she got the idea of combining the storage capabilities of a computer hard drive with the simplicity of loading a DVD or CD player and recording at a touch of a button!
